OUR STORY

We had an unconventional start to our relationship as we met during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Restaurants still weren't open for dine in so after talking and texting for weeks, Michael invited Jordan over to his house one night.  Quite the unusual first date as Michael had a friend over and they were decorating his Christmas tree. Little did we know, we both claim the title of Mr. Christmas... a perfect first date.

 

Because of pandemic closures, it was months before we had a proper date night out. We were finally able to dine out on Abreo's patio still in the winter.  Previously, our evenings were spent social distancing with friends in garages or at home with the pups. Jordan quickly fell in love with all three...Lucy, Luna and Titus. 

 

Since our meeting, we have shared many trips and experiences together. Our first trip was to Florida to go to our favorite places.  Jordan to Disney and Michael to Wizarding World of Harry Potter.  One of our favorite things to do together is see Broadway musicals.  For Michael's 40th birthday, Jordan surprised him with a memorable trip with our sisters to NYC to see to a musical on actual Broadway! In August 2023 we took a very hot trip to Las Vegas to see Michael's favorite artist, Kelly Clarkson.  It was after the concert that Michael proposed in the Bellagio Conservatory, surrounded by the most beautiful floral installations we've ever seen.

 

Both born and raised in Rockford, we love this community. We share an extensive pool of mutual friends and connections and have both found ourselves happy to be in Rockford. We love what Rockford has to offer and we enjoy being involved in the community. 

 

During the nearly four years together, we have shared many wonderful times. We've been through major life changes together that have only strengthened our relationship... the loss of Jordan's father, moving in together, the loss of our sweet boy Titus, new jobs, career changes, starting a business, and Michael surprising Jordan with a new addition, our little fur baby Lily. 

Every person who we have included in our wedding celebration has played a part in our story. We are so excited to share this experience with everyone and build our future together with your love and support.
